start
There are a few things we need to collect and coordinate immediately to ensure the rest of the deployment process goes smoothly:
The name and logo of your loyalty club. If you don’t have one and need help brainstorming, let us know. If you don’t have a logo, we can launch without one and update it later, but the name is essential. We’re happy to help with the logo design process if needed. You’d be surprised at how much this little piece of info can delay things, so please send it as soon as you can.
Please connect us with your station engineer. We know engineers are busy. We want to connect with them now so we can start a dialog and get their help on their timetable, not ours. More on what we need from your engineer below.
Your station logo and color schemes. Please send a vector image (.eps, .ai, .pdf) if possible. If you don’t have those, just provide the biggest and best image you can. We can pull color schemes from your website, but if you have specific RGB color codes you want us to use, please send.
Do you already have an existing hosted SMS provider, allowing users to send texts over your request line? If so, please alert us immediately. If you don’t, we’ll begin the hosted SMS intake process. We’ll need your help with a couple of things.
Do you have an existing user database? If you want us to import it and incorporate those names into Mixer, we’ll need a copy of it as soon as possible.
HOSTED SMS
Hosted SMS means that we configure your request line to send/receive text messages. This will not interrupt or interfere with existing voice service. Here’s what we need from you:
If you already have an existing SMS provider on your request line, we need to know immediately.
We will need to schedule a time to send an automated phone call to your request line. Ideally, the person who will be answering the request line needs to be in contact with a Mixer representative when this happens (via mobile), so that we can provide a numeric code to the person who answers the phone that they can then input. It sounds complicated, but it’s not.
You’ll need to sign a digital LOA certifying that you’re the owner of the request line and authorize the SMS services. It’s just a couple of clicks!
Engineers
We understand the chaos and demands that station engineers can face. We really want to make things as easy as possible for them. Once we deploy, it’s very rare that we need any input or assistance from a station engineer. Here are a few things we do need:
What kind of automation are you using?
Are you running Arctic Palm in conjunction with the automation?
Please provide sample XML logs of the output from automation (or Arctic Palm, depending on your configuration).
Please provide us a streaming URL that we can plug into the mobile app. This URL should end with .m3u.
